Olat HaChodesh

Olat HaChodesh addressed a gap in Bnei Akiva UK’s publications. The Jewish Calendar is full of special holidays but existing publications such as Shabbat Lashem did not address this without confusing the aims of that publication whilst previous one-off publications for festivals did not have recognisable features.

The creation of Olat HaChodesh (literally ‘the monthly offering’) addressed these issues. With a professionally printed 8 page A5 booklet, with a distribution reach of several thousand, each month would see a theme connected to a holiday during that month or a special topic.

8 writers each from an active yeargroup ensured diverse contributors and enabled us to empower an additional 60 participants in sharing their ideas to the wider community.
