Bnei Akiva UK Branding Guidelines

Visual Identity Design & Implementation (2024-2025)

The Challenge: Inconsistent Identity

Bnei Akiva UK outputs numerous publications on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. However, this production had previously been conducted with no consistency, due to high annual staff turnover and a lack of similarity between one publication and another, even within the same year. This fragmentation eroded the organisation’s professional appearance and distinctive visual identity.

The Solution: A Comprehensive Guideline

I stepped up to produce a comprehensive set of branding guidelines to ensure that everything BAUK outputs—from our website and social posts to our newsletters—bears a distinctive visual identity consistent with professional Material Design principles. The goal was to standardise all external communications.

Implementation & Outcome

Over the course of 2024–2025, I undertook the significant task of redrafting and redesigning all of our core operational projects to ensure their compliance with the new brand guidelines. This comprehensive roll-out included training sessions for new and existing staff members on how to utilise the documentation effectively, alongside providing a suite of user-friendly template files for immediate implementation across various platforms. The ultimate result of this initiative is a far more cohesive, professional, and recognisable brand presence for Bnei Akiva UK, successfully unifying our external communications across the board.

The successful adoption of these comprehensive standards has created a foundation for future design work, drastically reducing time spent on design decisions and increasing the quality and consistency of all printed and digital media produced by the organisation.
