Torah Framework
Torah Framework is a comprehensive web application for navigating Jewish wisdom across eight interconnected dimensions. Designed as an interactive knowledge explorer, it transforms thousands of years of Torah scholarship into a structured, searchable, and visually engaging digital experience.
The application organises Jewish knowledge into eight distinct lenses—thematic, conceptual, spatial, temporal, analytical, ideological, textual, and practical—each with its own visual identity, navigation model, and curated dataset. Users can drill down through multiple levels of content, from broad categories to specific Talmudic discussions, with smooth animations and intuitive navigation at every stage.
Built on the cutting-edge Next.js 16 framework with React 19 and TypeScript, the application features interactive OpenLayers maps for geographic exploration of Torah centres, a searchable timeline spanning from Creation to the modern era, and over 5,500 lines of curated, type-safe data—all served as a performant static site with no backend database required.
The design system includes a custom dark/light theme with luminous glow effects, parallax scrolling, Framer Motion animations, and a fully responsive layout optimised for both desktop and mobile. Every piece of content includes Hebrew translations and links to Sefaria for primary source access.
